Delete your DukanUp account
Deletion is permanent. Once it completes, your bills, products, customers and reports cannot be recovered by you or by us. Export anything you need first.
Delete from inside the app
Open Settings
Tap the profile icon at the bottom of the DukanUp app, then Settings.
Go to Account
Tap Account, then Delete account at the bottom of the screen.
Confirm it is you
Enter your password. If you have a paid plan, the app cancels the subscription for you at this point.
Confirm deletion
Type DELETE to confirm. We email you a confirmation, and the deletion completes within 30 days.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot sign in, or you would rather we did it, emaildelete@dukanup.com from the email address registered on the account, with:
- Your shop name as it appears in the app
- The mobile number registered on the account
- The sentence: “Please delete my DukanUp account and all associated data.”
We verify the request, acknowledge within 2 working days and complete it within 30 days. We will never ask you for your password over email.
What gets deleted

Data held on your phone goes when you uninstall the app. If you want it gone without uninstalling, useSettings → Storage → Clear local data.
What we are required to keep
Indian tax law requires records of issued invoices to be retained. After deletion we keep arestricted financial archive for 8 years containing only:
- Invoice numbers, dates, totals and tax amounts
- The GSTIN of the shop that issued them
- Records of payments made to us for your subscription
This archive holds no customer names, no phone numbers, no product lists and no staff data. Those are deleted with the rest. It is not accessible to our support or product teams, is not used for any other purpose, and is destroyed at the end of the retention period.
Export your data first
Before deleting, open Reports → Export to download your invoices, stock and khata as spreadsheet files. If your plan does not include export, emailsupport@dukanup.com and we will send you a full export free of charge before we delete anything.
If you are a cashier, manager or accountant
Deleting your own login removes you from the shop and deletes your personal details. It doesnot delete the shop’s bills or records, because those belong to the shop owner’s account. Only the owner can delete the shop itself.
Questions
How long does deletion take?
Your login stops working immediately. Everything else completes within 30 days, and backups holding it are overwritten within 35 days.
Can I change my mind?
Write to us within 7 days of requesting deletion and we can usually stop it. After the deletion runs, nothing can be recovered, not by you and not by us.
Does deleting my account cancel my subscription?
Yes. The app cancels an active subscription as part of the deletion, so you are not charged again. Any refund due is handled under the Refund Policy.
I deleted the app but not my account. Is my data gone?
Uninstalling removes the copy on your phone, but your account and its data stay on our servers. To delete those, follow the steps above.
